-What makes your products different from other goat milk soaps?

Answer: We make our soaps with 100% raw goat milk as the only liquid in our recipe. That means that there is no water. None. Zip. Zilch. Water based soaps can still dry your skin out. Milk based soaps will provide the right balance of moisture based on the high percentage of butter fat content in goat milk.

-Why raw goat milk?

Answer: Raw milk provides the extra goodness of the natural vitamins and nutrients that are normally destroyed in processed milk. Many soap makers use canned or powdered goat milk in their formulations. Our soaps are set apart because the milk is kept in a raw state (under 100 degrees F) through the entire soap making process.

-Is your palm oil sustainable?

Answer: We use organic sustainable palm oil.

-Do you use natural dyes, like pigments or formicas?

Answer: None whatsoever. What ever the color of the soap turns out from it’s own natural ingredients, is how we sell it. We want our soaps to remain as pure and natural as possible, so you can see the purity of the soap on its own.

-Do you use chemical fragrances?

Answer: Nope! We specialize in creating soaps for people with sensitive skin, which means we are very conscious about how a fragrance reacts on the body. Chemical fragrances can cause a host of problems for the skin.

-What do you use to scent your soaps?

Answer: We use pure essential oils, natural ingredients, or pharmaceutical grade ingredients (as in the case of our organic pine tar soap) to scent our soaps.

-What is an essential oil?

Answer: Essential oils are plant based fragrances that are extracted in ways that don’t use chemicals. This includes distillation (water distillation, steam distillation, and water-steam distillation), and expression (cold pressing). Being plant based, essential oils often provide healing properties for the skin, hair, and body, making them an excellent choice for our natural soaps.

-Do you test on animals?

Answer: Not ever. We love our animals.

-Are your soaps organic?

Answer: Some of the ingredients we source to use in our recipes are organic, and we list that on each label.

-Can I use it on my hair? What about dyed hair?

Answer: Unlike other bar soaps that leave a nasty buildup, our soaps rinse off cleanly. Which makes them a sensible choice to use as a shampoo soap as well as a skin soap. Simply wet your hair, rub the bar directly on your head until a desired amount of lather is achieved, massage into scalp, and rinse.

Just as you would consider which soap is best for your skin based on an oily, dry or combination skin type, you’ll also need to discover which soap is best for your hair needs. The soaps that make the best shampoo bars are Patchouli, Peppermint & Rosemary, Lavender, Tea Tree Jojoba, Pine Tar, Plain 'Ole Soap and Shea Butter. And yes, our soaps will help to support hair that is dyed, keeping it well conditioned and vibrant.

-How well does the soap lather?

Answer: This depends on the type of water you have, but it lathers very well under most circumstances.

-Why is my soap not perfect in shape or color?

Answer: Our soaps are all handmade and hand cut. While we do our best to create uniformity amongst the bars, sometimes the shape of the bar varies depending on whether the bar was a corner cut, side bar, or middle piece. Other factors are dependent on if the soap was level in the first 24 hours after making, or how well the added herbs/nutrients were distributed in the batch.

-Where can I buy your soaps?

Answer: Our soaps are sold in a number of local shops in our North Carolina area. And many online retailers as well. The best place of course is right here on our own site. We can also be found on Amazonwww.greencupboards.com and more.

-How do I become a distributor?

Answer: If you would like to become a distribuor you can request a wholesale account at this form
