Shea butter comes from a nut on the African Karite tree. It is ground into a “butter” and used in many applications. When used in skin care, it is a very valuable resource to gaining and maintaining healthy, vibrant skin. Our family uses Shea Butter so often, that we keep a jar in several rooms in our house, plus even a 1.5oz. size in our vehicle!
This shea butter comes unrefined from Ghana, Africa, and is beige in color. It is unscented, but has a slight natural scent.
Some things that Shea Butter is known for include:
-soothes chapped or irritated skin
-takes the pain out of bug bites and bee stings
-builds UV protection from the sun when used regularly
-good for diaper rashes
-heals old and new scars
-useful for stretch marks
-helps to heal bruises
-removes toxins from the skin
-great for burns
CAUTION: People with nut or latex allergies may be sensitive to shea butter.

I am very pleased with my jar of shea butter. It is creamy and I love to put it on my lips, hands and elbows. A great value also.

The first time I opened the jar I was a little unsure of the product..having never seen Shea Butter ...particularly in a raw form. It wasn't creamy had a slightly different fragrance. I tried it on several dry patches on my skin and within a few days I could see and feel a difference
Now I'm working on my arms and then feet. Love it!! Going to get several more and will see if they sell a purse size!!
